The team of the Information and Research Center “Integration and Development” congratulates on the Children’s Day
On June 1, the world celebrates International Children’s Day. It was founded in 1949 by the International Democratic Federation of Women. In 1950, 51 countries celebrated this day. In Ukraine, this holiday was introduced in 1998. On this day, various entertaining and educational events are organized for children. But the key to this holiday is to draw public attention to the protection of children’s rights, lives, and health.
Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, including the aggression of the Russian Federation, there are many cases of violations of children’s rights in Ukraine. As of the end of April 2023, more than 1,400 Ukrainian children have suffered from the Russian armed aggression, of whom 470 were killed and 949 were injured of varying severity. Thousands of children have been abducted and deported to Russia…
We believe that the time will come when guarantees of children’s rights will cease to be declarative, and war criminals involved in unlawful acts against children will be punished. And may children in a free and peaceful Ukraine have plenty of opportunities to realize their potential and grow up in an inclusive, safe and democratic environment conducive to this!
