Course programs «Culture of Good Neighborhood» were developed by Ukrainian scholars and educators in 2003-2005 and finalized and adapted in 2015-2018 as part of the implementation of the planned topics of the A. Krymsky Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and projects of the Information and Research Center “Integration and Development” with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The set of programs of the special integrated course «Culture of Good Neighborhood» approved for use in educational institutions of Ukraine (letter of the Institute of Modernization of Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 22.1/12-G-366 of 15.06.18)
The “Culture of Good Neighborhood” course programs are cross-cutting. They are designed for pre-school, general secondary and higher education institutions, work with adults (teachers and parents) and help to implement the concept of continuity and development of lifelong learning. The programs are integrated and aimed at human development and socialization, the formation of civic, intercultural, communicative, environmental and other competencies, broad social inclusion and tolerance. The course programs take into account the regional confessional, cultural, mental, linguistic specifics and the geographical, historical and cultural context of both the region and the country as a whole. The course programs can be used in educational institutions and at home.
